The Greeters

So many churches have to arrange for people to welcome members and guests as they come into the door. It can become a real issue because finding volunteers who can do what they are supposed to do and be consistent is hard to find. Well, I don't have that problem. When my boys know that there is someone coming to our house for a visit they will request to go wait on the porch 10 minutes before (they would be out there 30 minutes before if I would let them) and wait for the guest. Here are some pictures of the greeting committee.

Disneyland

No visit to California is complete without a trip to Disney. Our family hadn't been in about 2 years so it was a real treat to go (thanks grandma)...#3 was loving it! I knew he would be on sensory overload.

A for Atchisons

Utter amazement

We're back on track

So the continuation of the blogs begins...(something happens and well the blog takes last place in my life)
After visiting Laguna Beach we traveled over to Newport Beach. We had fun playing in the sand, building castles, and enjoying the day.

More Beach- Laguna

So here are more pics from the Beach in the morning. Asher is hiding behind me in some because the waves coming in really scared him. I was reminded how strong and constant those waves can be. We were able to talk about that and how God made the ocean. Fun times.

Family Beach Time

We have a tradition of going to Laguna Beach when family is in town. We always take pictures in the same spot. Here are some of the family shots we took.

A rare family picture

My Sister in law and Brother in law with my nephew (he said he wasn't ready to come out for a picture yet, but in a couple weeks he might be willing)
Mommy and her two little boys (#3 and #4)

Don't worry more beach pictures to come....

#3 - tales of a 2 year old

This guy is giving Adam and I lots of laughs lately. It seems that once he turned two his speech and personality took on a whole new level. He is such the little brother. For example, when he says something there is always a "too" at the end of the sentence. Most often is comes out as "me too!", or "I do it too!" or "cheese too" or "I go too". There is nothing like a two year to show you how self-centered we can be. He is always referring to "me" or "mine". It can be cute like when I go to the store and I am just taking him with me. It was so special to him he kept saying, "me go". I love his thirst for life and his desire to get in the middle of everything. This little boy is just too precious.

Uncle Caleb

My brother came out for Chi-town for a visit. We had a great time. The boys loved having him around (he was a fellow play mate). Within an hour of him being at our house, the boys were already wrestling and in the backyard. They were playing some army game where the sprinklers were lasers. The protection from them was lemon juice provided by the local lemon tree. They had a blast.

Going on a bike ride

"Run from the lasers!!"

I love my brother. (and yes there are some tall people in my family)

Here are the nephews (minus Sawyer because he was taking a nap and we didn't want to wake him for this picture)

Deja Vu

I was vacuuming the floors recently and thought of this little blond headed boy.

There is another one coming up behind him who has the same fetish with the vacuum cleaner. It is hilarious. He follows it around and he is getting around fast nowadays.

I don't know if it is the light or what, but they love it. (the other boys just love to run and act crazy)
