Cute Kid Story

On Sunday I offered #3 some of these crackers. It was so funny because instead of just taking the crackers he went to the refrigerator. I opened the fridge and he got.....

this... Hummus. I can tell my children were raised in California because I had never even heard or tasted hummus until I moved here. He is a guy who knows what he wants.

Christmas Memories

I happen to love taking pictures, but when it comes to Christmas I rarely take many. I find that when I start taking pictures I remove myself from the scene. I like being there with my family and therefore we don't get many pictures. Here are a few from our morning.

Christmas Undies for the boys
Talking to my parents with TokBox and letting them see the boys open their gift which was a Wii.
#4 spent his morning snoozing
#3 enjoying his very own quad...He no longer needs to hijack his brothers' and scare his mom half to death as he rides around in the back yard.#4 enjoying his favorite toy

Christmas Blankets

My coworker gives so much to our family. She loves on my boys and graciously made these blankets for them. She is the same one who made the quilt for #4. So all four boys now have a blanket made by her. The boys loved it and #2 said it was the reason he slept in so well :)

Merry Christmas

Another performance for the children's choirs at our old church. I have the boys go to missions and music on Wednesday nights. Two things which I highly love and can be passionate about. We were able to go and hear our children singing. #2 actually sang which I was wondering if he would, but you have to love the hands in the sleeves. #1 is all about a performance and did a great job. I love the costumes they were able to dress in and create a beautiful picture of the birth of Christ.

Preschool Christmas Program

#2 had his preschool performance and did a great job according to dad. I had to work so I was unable to go, but I did see the video of it. Nothing beats a bunch of preschoolers singing about the God's greatest gift.

Some things don't have to be taught

I came outside today to find my boys playing broom ball. Has anyone taught them this kind of game? No, they were able to think it all up on their own. Just goes to show when boys play there must be a ball and something to hit it with.

Rain continued

As mentioned earlier, it just rained and rained all day Saturday. Being the good parents that we are, we allowed #1 and #2 to play in the puddles. (it only comes a few times a year so might as well let them enjoy it)

Califronia Rain

We can probably count on 2 hands how many times is rains in one year out here in Riverside. This past week we were fortunate enough to get a down pour. Saturday morning the boys were intrigued by the rain. We just wanted to hear it for a little while so we opened the window
and watched the rain come down. #1, #2, and #3 were loving it. #4 was nice and cozy enjoying his time without a brother in his face. They are all just so darn cute.

Nativity

I got out the nativity sets that I have gathered from around the World and this is what happens. The little fingers of #3 find and play with them. I love it! I can't wait to have them help me tell the story of Jesus using these figures one day.

Christmas Piano Recital

#1 is in his 2nd year of piano. Each year he has two recitals, a Christmas one and the end of the year one. He did a superb job playing his four songs. Piano is not his favorite thing. He does like it, but mom will not let him learn another instrument until we have a few years of piano underway. He is musically gifted and we love hearing him play on his own. For myself, I recall countless hours of driving my own family crazy with practicing or just playing to get out frustrations or boredom. He will thank me later:)

Beginning the Christmas Season

I have to admit I have had a hard time getting with it this year. Maybe because stores put out Christmas so early now that I tell myself to ignore it and once it finally is here I am caught off guard. So we have been trying to get into the season now that it is here. One of the best ways for us is to head downtown for the lighting of the Mission Inn. It was so much fun. The fireworks were great, but #3 didn't enjoy them. He was scared. We then attempted to walk around the Inn, but it was too cold and windy. We also were getting some whiny boys. We went home lit a fire to warm ourselves up.

Brothers

I love it when they play together without fighting or arguing about who has what car. I can't imagine life without these 4 boys. Last night I was just thinking if we had only had 2 and it made me very sad. It means no Asher who is the most hilarious child and no Sawyer who is a sweetie. Thank you, Lord, for giving me a gaggle of boys who at times will drive me crazy and make me want to quit, but the blessing truly out weigh those moments.

Attention Crafters

I am not one to take on projects at this current moment because I don't have much time between kids, but I may take on some of these for Christmas gifts. Click here to get there. Have fun looking at her blog. By the way she is a great photographer as well. I wish I lived close by to participate in some of her snap shops.

Thanks Ashely for sharing your creative ideas.

Quick to Learn

Our children have their favorite spot when they sleep, our bed. It didn't take Sawyer long to discover that he too was like his brothers. He has been sleeping snugly all morning in this spot. He would rather sleep there than in his bed. I hope to be retraining soon.

For those of you concerned about being on his tummy, he has been closely monitored all morning.
