Happy Birthday Asher!!

My baby boy is one. I can't believe it. Here are some great pictures of the birthday boy. The middle picture is of him in the dog crate. He like to go in and open and close the door.

Where has the time gone

I promised a post so here it is. The past few weeks have been a little nutty. There was Easter, the a friend came the next weekend, then a trip to Oklahoma, then a run on top of all our normal chaos. We are holding up. Adam is now teaching a class at our church on a book called Surprised By Hope by N.T. Wright. I am so glad that he is doing this. I am going to go to it. I have never been in my husbands class. It was great. Let's see.... we had to replace the van because the other one was totaled by Adam which meant we were a one car family of five for about 2 weeks. Let's just say it's a good thing that I work close. This week my life has been filled with state testing and sick children. I wish that colds would end sooner than they do, but no such luck. Aiden and Asher both were sick. I have to say though Aiden is a trooper. He rarely complained and was good about being sick. Asher was just a baby about it. :) So enough rambling here are some pics.

My friend Andrea getting married. (the reason for the trip to OK)
Simultaneous mowing in the backyard. I told Adam he will not have the mow the lawn for quite some time as the boys grow up.

Post

I know, I know... Post already. Let's just say testing, traveling, boys being sick. Well, that's enough to fill my days. I promise to get something up soon. Thanks to all those who are not a slacker like me and update more frequently.

Easter

I will admit that we do not play up Easter as most do. Our children rarely have Easter baskets and I often forget to even take a family picture. We tend to focus on the reason for the day which is the resurrection of Jesus. It is the reason we have hope and a future. I love this day for the celebration that it is and often live in the moment hence the lack of pictures, but here are few. For lunch we went to my sister-in-law's boyfriend's house with his family. They had baskets for the boys and they were able to do an egg hunt. These are the only Easter pics I have.

More Tahoe pictures

We spent a lot of time in the pool. Here is Adam, Asher, and Aiden in the hot tub. They didn't spend long in the tub, just enough to get warm. Avery loved the pool. It was heated which made it fun.
Asher was nervous at first about the pool, but he soon learned he loved it and wanted Daddy to take him all around.

I saw this lady in the lobby painting faces and I knew the boys would love to do it. Of course they wanted to be scary so here they are, a jaguar and a tiger.

Tahoe

Over Spring Break we went to South Lake Tahoe. We stayed in a very nice place and didn't do a whole lot. My goal was to come back relaxed and not exhausted from our trip. I also find that having little ones who still need naps takes away from some activities. Here are a few snap shots.

We laughed about how big this suit made Asher look, but it kept him warm.
Tumbling bear showing his might.

This is screaming eagle, but he didn't want to turn around because he was afraid the eagle would get him.

The three boys, notice how they hang on to one another. The boat in the background is the one we took on our tour, but this was a different day.

Spring Break 1

Last Saturday we took the boys to Legoland. It was our gift for Avery's birthday. We had so much fun and will definitely be going again.
